There is a completely new addition to CeraVe’s excellent cleaning range and this is the perfect option when you need a quick and easy make-up removal solution. Here is a short description of CeraVe micellar cleaning water.
What is CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water?
So this is micellar water unlike many you see on the market because it has added skin care ingredients that actually help heal the skin as well as remove surface dirt.
- Gentle formula that will not disrupt the skin barrier, microbiome or skin pH
- Does not cause dryness, irritation or sensitivity
- With micellar technology that removes dirt, the formula contains a blend of essential ceramides and niacinamides
- Ceramides support skin function and hydration
- Niacinamide (a form of vitamin B3) has an anti-inflammatory effect
- Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive
- Non-comedogenic and ophthalmologically tested
How to use CeraVe micellar water for cleaning
This is a super easy first step in cleansing and is perfect for removing makeup before you actually clean your skin.
All you have to do is apply CeraVe micellar water for cleaning with a cotton pad and wipe the skin until it is clear. You can follow up with another cleanser to completely cleanse your skin.
Also, it can be used on its own for easy cleansing if you haven’t used makeup or SPF. This makes it perfect for your light morning cleansing or after a workout when your skin is already clean.
Is CeraVe Micellar Cleansing Water good for your skin?
This formula is enriched with a mixture of ceramide and niacinamide. Because it is a non-rinsing formula, these skin-loving and barrier-building ingredients remain on the skin and provide an anti-inflammatory and firming effect on the skin.
My review of CeraVe micellar cleansing water
This is a wonderful micellar water that works super gently on the skin, but effectively removes makeup, including eye makeup and mascara.
It breaks down makeup very quickly and I think it takes a few soaked pads to take it all off. I then switch to another cleanser to make sure my skin is clean properly.

I find that CeraVe micellar cleansing water does not peel my skin at all. It has a very neutral effect in a way that makes my skin feel clean, but not like I applied something, if that makes sense?
I like that it contains niacinamide and ceramides, which together strengthen the skin barrier and minimize inflammation and sensitivity. A quick cleanse in the morning, both before and after training, is perfect for refreshing the skin without disturbing the natural balance.
