This is very exciting !! Sell out Australian SPF brand Ultra Violette have launched a brand new skin tint / foundation that has SPF 50 and comes in a range of shades. Here’s a look at the Ultra Violette Daydream Screen SPF50 Tinted Veil coming to the UK soon.
What is Ultra Violette Daydream Screen?
If you have already tried any of Ultra Violette’s portfolio of SPF products, this news will make you very excited. They have a beautiful range of high protection (to Australian standards) skin screens, designed for different skin types and finish preferences.
For more info, you can read my Ultra Violette Skinscreen UK Review – Which One To Choose.
Back to the new Ultra Violette Daydream Screen SPF50 Tinted Veil. It was originally named Dream Screen but the name has now been changed to Daydream Screen. It is:
- Super light, tinted skin serum
- 15 shades that adapt to fit your skin tone
- SPF 50 UVA and UVB protection
- It has the silky consistency of the best selling Queen Screen (read my review)
- Delivers high protection plus dewy, sheer-medium coverage
- Can be layered to achieve your desired coverage
- Includes Pentivitin to hydrate
- It is oil free, silicone free and alcohol free
How to Use it
So Ultra Violette Daydream Screen has been designed to be layered over your SPF. It does, of course, have its own SPF but you would need a lot of product to achieve that level of protection with a foundation.
It does mean that you can apply less of your SPF product though. Ultra Violette suggest that if you are using Daydream as a secondary sunscreen you get away with wearing less SPF than you normally would. So if you use Supreme, Lean or Clean screen – 2-3 pumps will be all you need, and one pipette of Queen Screen.
Ultra Violette Daydream Screen Shades & Swatches
So this tinted serum originally launched in Australia with 11 shades, however, that is increasing and when the product launches in the UK, there will be 15 shades on total. The lightest shade is 0 and the deepest shade is 11.
You may notice that these numbers don’t really add up but that’s because there are three shades between 9 and 10, I believe. I will have full info soon, so stay tuned.
For now I have quick swatches of 0, 3 (my shade) and 11:
Here is shade 3 blended into my hand to give you an idea of the glowy finish:
It looks very pretty. I’ll update very soon when I have been able to wear-test it.
When does Ultra Violette Daydream Screen SPF50 Tinted Veil launch in the UK?
Daydream Screen is set to launch in the UK in July at Space NK *. Sign up for a launch alert below.
There’s also a makeup sponge which will potentially come as a gift with purchase. I’d suggest using it dry to ensure you don’t dilute the SPF value.
